Everything on this site is public record. Candidates file it, state agencies hold it, and your taxes already paid for all of it. The only thing missing was somewhere you could actually read it, which is what StateTrack is for.
That's why there's no paywall and no advertising here, and why nothing about you is collected or sold. Every figure links straight back to the state's own filing, so you're never asked to simply trust us.
Running it does cost money — the servers, adding new states, and keeping it all current through an election season, which is when the data matters most and also when it's most expensive to maintain.
